About the role#
The Digital Technology Internship at GE Appliances is a summer program designed to build leadership skills and technical aptitude. Interns work on projects alongside technical teams to gain experience in information technology. This role serves as a pipeline for future full-time development programs within the company.
What you'll do#
Interns participate in projects that span various business functions. Assignments typically last 10 to 12 weeks and include:
- Developing applications for web, mobile, client-server, and standalone environments using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Managing and optimizing systems.
- Re-engineering business processes.
- Designing and building out infrastructure and environments.
- Handling security and controllership tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in or out of the classroom.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A baseline understanding of business and finance.
- Prior experience through internships, co-ops, or research is preferred.
