Frontline Marketing and Communications Internship - Fall 2026

About the role#

FRONTLINE is seeking an intern to join the audience development team for the Fall 2026 semester. This role focuses on data and audience insights, publicity, communications, search, social media, and influencer engagement. Interns are treated as recognized members of the team and will contribute to strategy, brainstorming, and daily operations to help grow and maintain the program's audience.

What you'll do#

• Conduct media and influencer research.
• Track industry trends and perform social media listening.
• Create social media graphics using Photoshop and Canva.
• Draft social media copy and build public relations reports.
• Assist in the ongoing sorting and tagging of archival social posts.
• Perform social data analysis.
• Develop at least one semester-long project that contributes to the team's strategic goals.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong research, writing, presentation, and organizational skills.
• An eye for detail, proofreading, and copyediting.
• Demonstrated sound news judgment.
• Curiosity regarding audience behavior across various media platforms.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment.

Location & details#

• Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
• Term: September 14th to December 4th, 2026.
• Modality: Hybrid. Staff are required to work onsite at least two days per week, specifically Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
• Compensation: Paid internship at $17 per hour.
• Requirements: Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, possess valid United States work authorization, and have their own computer with Wi-Fi access.
