Education Marketing and Outreach Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

The Education Marketing and Outreach Intern will support the GBH Education team in promoting media-integrated resources designed for K-12 educators and learners. This role involves a mix of digital content creation, community outreach, and administrative support to help distribute educational materials and engage with public media audiences.

What you'll do#

• Draft engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Threads.
• Collaborate with team members to produce images and short-form videos.
• Assist in drafting, formatting, and proofreading newsletters.
• Update educational landing pages and blog posts with new copy and promotional banners.
• Provide logistical and promotional support for local and national events, such as workshops and community festivals.
• Assist in maintaining contact lists for partners and school districts.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, with a focus on Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong interest in K-12 education, marketing, and educational media.
• Proactive and professional approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable Wi-Fi.

Location & details#

• Location: Boston, Massachusetts. Candidates must be local and able to commute to the office.
• Term: Fall 2026 (September 14th to December 4th).
• Modality: Hybrid. Staff are required to work onsite at least two days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
• Status: Paid internship, part-time (15 hours per week).
