About the role#
GBA is hiring a Landscape Architect Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work from our Lenexa, Kansas office on a variety of public and private projects. These include open spaces, parks, and net-zero community planning initiatives. You will join a collaborative team of architects, engineers, and surveyors to gain hands-on design experience.
What you'll do#
- Participate in public engagement, visioning, and design charettes.
- Assist with urban planning, detailing, CAD drafting, and red line corrections.
- Visit active construction sites, including streetscapes, parks, and development projects.
- Gain insight into the business and operational aspects of our planning group.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Landscape Architecture or Urban Design program.
- Completion of at least two years of your degree, with three years preferred.
- Strong communication skills for both oral and written tasks.
- Analytical skills and a talent for problem solving.
- Experience with Civil3D, Rhino, and Enscape is preferred.
