About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our roadway team during the summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced engineers on real client projects, focusing on transportation infrastructure and design. This is a full-time, paid position that offers mentorship and professional guidance throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD.
- Perform fundamental engineering tasks, including basic calculations and data entry into analysis software.
- Participate in field assignments such as roadway and highway inspections.
- Support project phases by reviewing drawings, proofreading reports, and handling general engineering tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest or prior internship experience in Roadway and Highway Engineering.
- Basic proficiency in CAD software, spreadsheets, technical writing, and interpreting design drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with engineering analysis and design software like Civil 3D or HEC-RAS is a plus.
