About the role#
Join our roadway team to gain experience in civil engineering. You will work on client projects and receive mentorship from experienced professionals. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and input data into analysis software.
- Participate in field assignments, including inspections of roadways and highways.
- Review drawings, proofread reports, and perform general engineering support tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest or prior internship experience in Roadway and Highway Engineering.
- Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, technical writing, and interpreting design drawings.
- Working proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Experience using engineering analysis and design software like Civil 3D and HEC-RAS.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
Location & details#
- Location: Columbus, Ohio.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
- Term: Mid-May through mid-August 2027.
