About the role#
Join our roadway team in Houston for a Summer 2027 internship. You will work on real client projects alongside experienced engineers and professionals who provide guidance and mentorship. This role offers exposure to highway and transportation infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD.
- Conduct basic engineering calculations and input data into analysis software.
- Participate in field assignments, including inspections of roadways and highways.
- Review project drawings and proofread technical reports.
- Perform general engineering support tasks across various project phases.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest or prior internship experience in Roadway and Highway Engineering.
- Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, interpreting design drawings, and technical writing.
- Working proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer.
- Experience using engineering analysis and design software such as Civil 3D or HEC-RAS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as a self-motivated team player.

- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (mid-May through mid-August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
