About the role#
The student nurse clinical placement provides an opportunity to function as part of the hemodialysis health care team. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, you will assist in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy while gaining hands-on experience in a clinical environment. This role supports the facility mission and customer service philosophy by participating in patient care and quality improvement activities.
What you'll do#
- Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of hemodialysis machines.
- Participate in facility process improvement activities and the Quality Enhancement Program.
- Adhere to all facility and corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment while interacting with patients, staff, and physicians.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of at least three quarters of an ADN program, the junior year of a BSN program, or two years of a nursing school program.
- A commitment to delivering superior patient care and supporting the company mission.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in a healthcare facility environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases.
