About the role#
This student nurse clinical placement provides an opportunity to function as part of a hemodialysis health care team. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse to provide safe and effective dialysis therapy while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. This role supports the mission and customer service philosophy of the organization, including active participation in patient satisfaction and quality improvement activities.
What you'll do#
- Perform setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment.
- Participate in patient satisfaction activities and quality enhancement programs.
- Administer medication under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Assist with patient care tasks, including vital signs, lab preparation, and patient transport.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support daily operations and patient treatment plans.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a nursing program with completion of at least three quarters of an ADN program, the junior year of a BSN program, or two years of a nursing school program.
- A strong desire to deliver superior patient care.
- The ability to follow strict regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Excellent customer service skills for interactions with patients, staff, and physicians.
