Student Dietitian Clinical Placement

About the role#

As a Student Dietitian, you will function as part of the dialysis health care team to provide medical nutrition therapy. You will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Dietitian to support the company mission and adhere to all regulatory and policy requirements.

What you'll do#

• Conduct nutrition interviews with patients.
• Calculate diet prescription recommendations and provide counseling to patients or caregivers.
• Assist in the development and implementation of nutrition plans of care.
• Review monthly nutrition data with patients and document progress notes.
• Collect data for comprehensive interdisciplinary assessments.
• Create nutrition-related educational materials or projects for patients and staff.
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and quality assessment sessions.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, or current enrollment in an accredited Coordinated Program in Dietetics.
• Strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy.
• Commitment to delivering superior patient care.
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian.
