About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer of 2027. You will work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, gaining hands-on experience with fixed plant maintenance in a mining environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with maintenance tasks including component removal, repair, and installation of crushers, vibratory screens, mills, pumps, and conveyor systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance such as changing filters and checking lubrication systems, oil levels, and screens.
- Complete work orders, job safety analysis, and work area inspections.
- Operate equipment like forklifts, skid steers, and overhead cranes.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and general housekeeping duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate degree or certification program in a mechanical or relevant field.
- Recent graduates who earned their degree or certification within 12 months of the internship start date are also eligible.
- Ability to communicate and apply work and safety instructions in English.
- Capability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working under pressure.
