About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will work as a member of the engagement team. You will gain experience by working with clients ranging from emerging businesses to Fortune 500 companies. This role provides hands-on practice in public accounting while you work alongside professionals at various levels of the firm.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engagement leaders, seniors, and managers on client engagements.
- Build foundational assurance skills through planning procedures, balance sheet testing, and income statement testing.
- Assist with audit reporting and support ad hoc special projects.
- Communicate with clients and internal teams to keep engagements on track.
- Travel to client locations for on-site work.
- Build professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Receive ongoing coaching from seniors and managers.
- Participate in firm culture through networking events.
- Work with a performance manager to set career goals and learn from an assigned buddy.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in accounting or a related field.
- Interest in a career in public accounting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professionalism and attention to detail.
