About the role#
As a Tax Intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain hands-on experience by working on client engagements similar to those assigned to entry-level associates. You will work alongside senior staff and managers to develop your technical skills and gain exposure to a variety of industries. This internship provides an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting.
What you'll do#
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences.
- Analyze financial data.
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns.
- Calculate tax extension or estimate payments.
- Participate in client meetings alongside partners and managers.
What you'll need#
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and progress toward CPA Exam eligibility.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework.
- Strong oral, written, and computer skills.
- Effective time management and the ability to work under pressure against deadlines.
- A problem-solving attitude and the willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Close attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation for office and off-site meetings.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).
