About the role#
As an Assurance and Tax Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting our audit and tax teams. You will work directly on client projects, helping to prepare financial statements and tax returns while learning the technical processes behind our service offerings. This role requires a commitment to professional growth and the ability to balance multiple client tasks effectively.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the execution of audit, review, and assurance engagements.
- Prepare partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns.
- Perform analysis of financial and non-financial information.
- Update depreciation schedules and prepare financial projections.
- Participate in audit and review reengineering meetings.
- Complete accurate, neat, and organized workpapers.
- Collaborate with team members to identify client needs and develop solutions.
- Meet established charge hour budgets and billable hour goals.
- Represent the firm through participation in outside activities.
- Seek consistent feedback on your performance to improve your technical skills.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a BA or BS in accounting or a related field.
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Ability to learn and use specialized accounting software.
- Understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and tax regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to work in a team environment and address peer conflict.
