About the role#
GBQ Partners is hiring a Summer Intern for the 2027 season. This is a full-time, paid position based in our Cincinnati office. You will work on-site to assist our teams with assurance and tax procedures for clients across various industries.
What you'll do#
- Assist with financial statement audits, reviews, and tax returns.
- Prepare partnership, corporate, and individual tax filings.
- Perform analysis of financial and non-financial client information.
- Update depreciation schedules and create projections based on financial data.
- Complete accurate, neat, and organized workpapers.
- Participate in audit and review reengineering meetings.
- Conduct internet research as needed for client projects.
- Manage your tasks to meet charge hour budgets and billable hour requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to identify client needs and develop solutions.
- Represent the firm by participating in outside activities.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a BA or BS in accounting or a related field.
- You must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and general PC applications.
- Ability to learn new software, techniques, and processes quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Efficient organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Reliable transportation for on-site client work.
