About the role#
We are looking for a Firmware Engineering Intern to support embedded systems development for our MK14 daughter board platforms. You will work within our engineering team to gain hands-on experience with hardware interfaces, firmware testing, and system integration. This role is suited for students who want to focus on low-level programming and hardware-software interaction.
What you'll do#
- Assist with environment setup and the configuration of embedded systems.
- Learn the MK14 daughter board architecture and how the system functions.
- Support the development and execution of test harnesses for firmware validation.
- Review technical specifications and hardware datasheets to aid development.
- Perform unit testing and assist with firmware verification.
- Help with debugging, error handling, and logging implementation.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve development efficiency and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Maintain organized engineering records and contribute to technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to work 30-40 hours per week.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
- Exposure to RTOS concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
