This role focuses on extracting clinical value from data produced by proprietary sensors and systems to improve patient outcomes. You will work with the software team to deliver high-quality products that integrate medical devices, software, and artificial intelligence to address clinical challenges. This position is an office-first role based in Kitchener, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and consolidate data from multiple sources.
- Develop backend services, APIs, and web interfaces to process data and present analytics to end users.
- Translate regulatory requirements into product specifications to ensure compliance.
- Assist in conducting technical risk and privacy impact assessments.
- Support various teams with software and data needs as required.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated knowledge of backend architecture design and its implications for development, security, and privacy.
- Strong foundation in data structures and database fundamentals.
- Proficiency in back-end development, with a preference for Python.
- Experience building data pipelines or ETL processes.
- Familiarity with version-control software, specifically Git.
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Canadian post-secondary program (Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Health Administration).
