About the role#
This nine-week summer internship offers students an immersive experience on the Flow Traders trading floor in New York. Running from early June through early August, the program provides a comprehensive view of market-making activities and the role of a Trader in global financial markets. You will work alongside experienced professionals to understand how arbitrage opportunities are identified and how trading desks are optimized.
What you'll do#
- Learn directly from industry leaders on the New York trading floor.
- Participate in structured educational courses and hands-on trading simulations.
- Develop and test trading strategies through project-based work using quantitative models and trading tools.
- Collaborate with Traders and Quantitative Researchers to solve real-world trading challenges.
- Engage in intern events and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
What you'll need#
- Current candidate for a Bachelor’s degree at a United States institution, with a preference for the Class of 2028.
- Academic background in Finance, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrable interest in trading and global financial markets.
- Excellent mental math, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and an affinity for scientific programming or development languages.
- Ability to think on your feet, reason logically, and deliver under pressure.

- Compensation: The role includes a prorated base salary of $150,000, and employees are eligible for an annual discretionary variable remuneration based on performance. Housing and accommodations assistance is provided.
