About the role#
The Seasonal Communications Intern assists the Communications team in providing media relations support for the Florida Panthers. This role focuses on game-day operations, media support, and the preparation of media documents. You will report to the Hockey Communications Coordinator.
What you'll do#
- Support game-day media relations tasks like credentialing, media check-in, and document distribution.
- Assist with press box operations, including pre-game and post-game setup.
- Distribute game-day statistics and information to media and visiting team personnel.
- Collect and transcribe post-game interviews.
- Handle on-site media requests and maintain digital tracking of external media clips.
- Help draft press releases and other written communications.
What you'll need#
- Current college student or recent graduate in Communications, Public Health, Marketing, or Journalism.
- Knowledge of hockey and strong communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and postseason games.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is a plus.
