About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will work with our Transportation team to design infrastructure projects for the DOT and municipal clients. You will be part of an employee-owned firm and work on real engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist in designing roads, bridges, and civil infrastructure.
- Create design drawings using AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer.
- Support engineers with technical documentation and calculations.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across our offices.
- Help manage project deliverables and solve engineering problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A desire to learn and contribute to projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
- Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.

- This role is based in Ohio with positions available in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton.
- The position offers a hybrid work schedule.
