About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring a Civil Field intern for Summer 2027. This is a full-time position where you will work alongside our Civil Field team to support infrastructure projects. You will gain direct experience by observing project execution and collaborating with our engineers and inspectors.
What you'll do#
- Prepare daily reports that document jobsite conditions and the work completed.
- Verify that construction activities meet design plans and contract requirements.
- Support the team by assisting with Requests for Information.
- Visit project sites to observe work firsthand and learn how to communicate findings to multidisciplinary teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil or Environmental Engineering program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working outdoors and traveling to various project sites.
- Previous experience in construction, field inspection, or testing is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Michigan with openings in Farmington Hills, Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Detroit.
- Work modality includes both hybrid and on-site options.
