About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time internship where you will work with our transportation team on projects for the DOT and municipal clients. You will gain experience in bridge and road design while working in a hybrid environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design of roads, bridges, and civil infrastructure.
- Create design drawings using AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer.
- Support engineers with technical documentation and calculations.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across our offices.
- Participate in solving engineering challenges and managing project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A desire to learn and contribute to projects.
- Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Ohio with candidates residing in the Columbus, Cincinnati, or Dayton markets.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- We offer hybrid work schedules.
