About the role#
Fishbeck is looking for a Survey Intern to join the team for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Dayton, Ohio. You will work alongside our surveying professionals to support water and wastewater projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with engineering evaluations and the design of water and wastewater systems.
- Analyze project data and contribute to technical reports.
- Collaborate with engineers and survey staff across different office locations.
- Attend site visits and client meetings to see project conditions in person.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- A valid driver's license.
- The ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
- Availability for occasional travel, long hours, and weekend work if required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of GPS is a plus.
