About the role#
As a Parking Engineer Intern, you will join the Parking Department to support planning, design, and restoration projects. You will be involved in every stage of project delivery, from initial design through to final implementation. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Kalamazoo.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team on parking studies and the design of new structures.
- Assist with parking structure restoration, field evaluations, and report writing.
- Support construction administration tasks.
- Work with technical staff to execute project development.
- Apply practical knowledge to solve engineering problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited civil or architectural engineering program.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- A willingness to contribute to challenging projects.
- Enthusiasm for working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
- Physical ability to access and maneuver around project sites, perform light lifting, and travel to project locations.
