About the role#
Fishbeck is looking for a Parking Engineer Intern to join our team in Farmington Hills. You will work with our Parking Department on a variety of projects, including planning, design, and restoration. This is a chance to gain experience in all stages of project delivery, from initial design through final implementation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on parking planning and studies.
- Assist with the design of new parking structures and restoration projects.
- Support office design work, report writing, and construction administration.
- Conduct field evaluations at various project sites.
- Work closely with technical staff to support project development and execution.
- Solve engineering problems by applying practical knowledge and new approaches.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited civil or architectural engineering program.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- A willingness to learn and contribute to challenging projects.
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with project teams.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform light lifting, sit, walk, and travel to project sites.
- Ability to access and maneuver around project sites and use necessary documentation equipment.
