About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring an IT Helpdesk Intern to join our team in Grand Rapids. You will provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization. This is a full-time, paid position that offers a chance to work on technology projects and system upgrades alongside our IT staff.
What you'll do#
- Assist employees with password resets, account access, and service requests.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Configure and deploy computer hardware and software.
- Manage inventory, track assets, and set up equipment.
- Document support tickets and resolutions in the help desk system.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Collaborate with the IT team on various technology projects.
- Maintain clear communication with end users.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
