About the role#
Fishbeck is looking for an Intern Architect to join our team in Grand Rapids. You will work on various project types including healthcare, higher education, municipal, commercial, and retail facilities. This role provides hands-on experience across the design and documentation process while working alongside multidisciplinary professionals.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers on project teams.
- Assist with design development from initial concepts to construction documentation.
- Prepare building concepts, presentation materials, and technical documents.
- Create and modify project models and drawings using Revit and other software.
- Research materials and products to support project needs.
- Coordinate architectural documents with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines.
- Attend project meetings, design reviews, and site visits.
- Support the creation of accurate, high-quality project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited university.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in architecture.
- Experience using Revit and SketchUp for project development.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign.
- An interest in pursuing architectural registration.
- Strong design, visualization, and presentation skills.
- Excellent written, graphic, and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
