About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring for a Summer 2027 Architectural Intern. You will work in either our Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills office. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience alongside architects and engineers. You will contribute to projects across entertainment, municipal, and commercial sectors while building your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the development of architectural concepts, design presentations, and construction documents.
- Support project teams with building design, drafting, and documentation.
- Research building materials, products, and design solutions.
- Use Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and other design software.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals across multiple disciplines.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute creative ideas.
- Gain exposure to various phases of architectural design and project execution.
- Learn from experienced professionals through hands-on mentorship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Familiarity with Revit and SketchUp is preferred.
- A strong interest in architectural design and the built environment.
- Creative thinking and solid design and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn.
- The ability to collaborate with others, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
