Project Engineer Intern

About the role#

The Project Engineer Intern position provides an entry-level opportunity to gain experience within the Project Management department. You will work on projects from start to close, gaining hands-on exposure to the construction industry in a supportive environment. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.

What you'll do#

• Update construction plans using Bluebeam and electronic document centers.
• Post and write Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Document project progress through photos and executive summaries.
• Communicate with prospective bidders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review, track, and process submittals and shop drawings.
• Execute punch lists and assist with job close-out procedures.
• Participate in job site visits, a Mock Bid Day, and various networking events.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with computer technology and software.
