The Project Engineer Intern position provides an entry-level opportunity to gain experience within the Project Management department. You will work on projects from start to close, gaining hands-on exposure to the construction industry in a supportive environment. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Update construction plans using Bluebeam and electronic document centers.
- Post and write Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Document project progress through photos and executive summaries.
- Communicate with prospective bidders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review, track, and process submittals and shop drawings.
- Execute punch lists and assist with job close-out procedures.
- Participate in job site visits, a Mock Bid Day, and various networking events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with computer technology and software.
