About the role#
The Project Engineer Intern position provides an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Project Management department. This internship offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from initial planning to final close-out, in a collaborative environment. Participants will also engage in networking opportunities, including job site visits, a mock bid day, and organized student events.
What you'll do#
- Update construction plans using Bluebeam and electronic document management systems.
- Draft and post Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Document project progress through photography and the creation of executive summaries.
- Review, track, and process submittals and shop drawings.
- Communicate with prospective bidders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Assist with job close-out procedures, including the execution of punch lists.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with technology and computer systems.
