Project Engineer Intern

About the role#

The Project Engineer Intern position provides an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Project Management department. This internship offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from initial planning to final close-out, in a collaborative environment. Participants will also engage in networking opportunities, including job site visits, a mock bid day, and organized student events.

What you'll do#

• Update construction plans using Bluebeam and electronic document management systems.
• Draft and post Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Document project progress through photography and the creation of executive summaries.
• Review, track, and process submittals and shop drawings.
• Communicate with prospective bidders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Assist with job close-out procedures, including the execution of punch lists.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with technology and computer systems.
