About the role#
The Project Engineer Co-op is an entry-level position designed to provide exposure to the construction industry through placements in Project Management or Preconstruction departments. You will gain hands-on experience throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial planning to close-out. This role is available for the Summer 2026/Winter 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Update construction plans using Bluebeam and electronic document centers.
- Draft and post Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Document project progress through photography and executive summaries.
- Coordinate with prospective bidders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review, track, and process submittals and shop drawings.
- Assist with job close-out procedures, including the execution of punch lists.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with technology and strong computer skills.
