About the role#
The Project Engineer Co-op position in Houghton, Michigan, offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. This full-time, paid role runs from January 2027 through August 2027 and provides a monthly stipend to assist with housing and relocation costs.
What you'll do#
- Update construction plans using Bluebeam and electronic document centers.
- Write and post Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Document project progress through photography and executive summaries.
- Communicate with prospective bidders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review, track, and process submittals and shop drawings.
- Execute punch lists and assist with job close-out procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with technology and computer systems.
