About the role#
Fidelity is looking for undergraduate students to join our 10-week summer internship program as Systems Analysts. This is a full-time, paid position where you will work on real projects across the full delivery lifecycle. You will gain firsthand experience in how technology solutions support business objectives and customer outcomes while working alongside engineers, product teams, and business partners.
What you'll do#
- Participate in stakeholder discussions to gather, document, and clarify business requirements.
- Create and maintain essential documentation, including user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, process maps, and data flow diagrams.
- Develop a working knowledge of business processes and system workflows across our technology platforms.
- Run queries to support data analysis, validate information, investigate issues, and find opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with quality assurance by developing test cases, executing tests, and documenting your findings.
- Explore emerging technologies, including AI tools, to improve analysis and delivery effectiveness.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Software Engineering, Technology Management, or a related field.
- You must be an undergraduate student who plans to return to coursework after the internship.
- Foundational knowledge of data concepts, including data flows, validation, or querying.
- Familiarity with requirements gathering, systems analysis, or business process concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and an interest in how technology supports business needs.
- Availability for the entire 10-week program.
Location & details#
- This internship is located on-site in Boston, MA, Durham, NC, or Westlake, TX.
- The program runs for 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- This position is full-time and paid, with a base salary range of $28 to $42 per hour. Placement within this range depends on geographic location, experience, and job scope.
