About the role#
This is a full-time, 12-month paid internship designed for soon-to-be or recent graduates. You will work across the engineering function to contribute to Clerkie Fiber, our flagship B2B CRM. You will collaborate with backend, frontend, product, and design teams to build real features and solve technical problems. Our goal is to convert standout interns into full-time engineering roles at the end of the program.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain the Clerkie Fiber platform.
- Work across the full tech stack, including frontend interfaces using Next.js and Tailwind CSS, and backend services using Node.js, AWS, and MongoDB.
- Build robust, scalable APIs to support our growing user base.
- Optimize system performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and help shape the future of our technology.
- Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on scalability and security.
What you'll need#
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (Class of 2024 or 2025 preferred).
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with React.js, Next.js, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Ability to manage project priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Enthusiasm for working in a small, fast-moving team environment.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the United States (sponsorship is not available).

Fiber by Clerkie operates as a debt automation platform for financial institutions. The company launched in 2021 and builds on the financial assistance tools developed by its parent organization, Clerkie. It manages debt operations including inventory, invoicing, and consumer interactions. The firm is based in San Francisco and employs approximately 30 people.
