Accounting Intern

About the role#

Ferrovial is seeking an Accounting Intern to join the team in Atlanta. This internship provides exposure to the full cost accounting cycle and is designed for students pursuing a career in accounting or finance within the construction industry.

What you'll do#

• Establish and enter job budgets into the accounting system.
• Collect delivery tickets and verify purchase order pricing.
• Process invoices and enter subcontractor payments, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Create and enter accruals for materials, trucking, and subcontractors.
• Manage project inventory and perform budget-to-actual comparisons.
• Identify and analyze deviations within budgets and revenue or gross profit forecasts.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program majoring in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to perform financial calculations accurately.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to handle items and work with fingers.
