Procurement Intern

About the role#

The Procurement Intern will support the Procurement Department in the coordination, organization, analysis, and tracking of procurement activities for construction projects. This role involves assisting with vendor information, bid comparisons, purchase orders, contract documentation, and reporting. You will gain hands-on experience in the processes required for contract award, supporting both ongoing projects and active bidding efforts.

What you'll do#

• Support the preparation and organization of procurement documentation, including vendor quotations, bid tabs, purchase orders, and contract files.
• Assist in managing and updating vendor and subcontractor information.
• Maintain procurement tracking logs, status reports, and follow-up actions.
• Prepare analytical reports on procurement activity, vendor performance, package status, pricing trends, pending approvals, and cost comparisons.
• Monitor procurement packages, approval workflows, and document status.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize proposals for materials, equipment, and subcontracted work packages.
• Perform data entry, document control, and quality checks to ensure accuracy.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in construction procurement, supply chain operations, data analysis, and project execution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize, interpret, and analyze information effectively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow up on outstanding items.
