About the role#
Prairie Co-operative is hiring Ag Summer Students for the Summer 2027 season. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Lipton, Ituna, Cupar, Melville, or Strasbourg, Saskatchewan. You will support our operations by providing service to our member-owners and helping maintain safe, efficient facilities.
What you'll do#
- Scout customer fields and assist with chemical and fertilizer recommendations.
- Operate the fertilizer plant and deliver products to customers.
- Load and unload customer purchases using a forklift.
- Assist with billing and computer data entry.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by performing general housekeeping duties.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures for product handling.
- Meet productivity standards and provide customer service.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing education in Agriculture.
- A valid Class 5 Drivers License is required.
- You must hold a forklift license or be willing to obtain one.
- Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50lbs.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- You are honest, trustworthy, and results-oriented.
- You enjoy building relationships and collaborating with others to solve problems.
