About the role#
This paid internship offers students direct exposure to the operations of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. You will engage in project-based assignments and professional development activities that align with our mission. This role provides insights into the Federal Reserve System while you contribute to your assigned department. You will work in a collaborative environment and build relationships with subject matter experts, Bank leadership, and your fellow interns.
What you'll do#
- Complete project-based assignments.
- Interpret data and analytics to develop insights and support the decision-making process.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Present information verbally and respond to questions from groups.
- Interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited program with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A minimum GPA of 2.75.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks.
- Employment type: Full-time, temporary.
- Compensation: $20 to $33 per hour, based on academic level.
