About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago offers a paid summer internship for students interested in cloud engineering. This program provides direct exposure to bank operations and allows you to work on projects that support our mission. You will join us for 10 to 12 weeks starting in June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Complete project-based assignments within your assigned department.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Build relationships with subject matter experts, bank leadership, and other interns.
- Contribute to the work of the team in a collaborative environment.
What you'll need#
- You are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- You are currently a student in an accredited program and will graduate in December 2027 or later.
- You maintain at least a 2.75 GPA.
- You have an intermediate working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- You possess strong communication skills and can present information verbally to groups.
- You can interpret data and analytics to develop insights.
- You are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- You interact professionally with internal and external clients.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
- The position is full-time, requiring a 40-hour work week.
- Compensation ranges from $20 to $33 per hour, based on your academic level.
- We do not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
- Employment is subject to additional screening, including background and credit checks, as well as adherence to bank ethics rules regarding the ownership of bank securities.
