About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 within the Information Services department at Park National Bank. You will work on data projects that support banking applications and business intelligence. The role is hybrid, requiring one day per week on-site at our headquarters in Newark, Ohio, with the remaining four days remote.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain data semantic models for analytics and business intelligence.
- Design and manage data pipelines using DBT to ensure reliable data delivery.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into technical solutions.
- Prepare raw data for analysis and the development of AI agents.
- Support the optimization of scripts and workflows integrated into banking systems.
- Develop skills in NLP-based coding within Snowflake and DBT environments.
- Build cross-functional relationships to support technology initiatives.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A two-year associate degree in IT, computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience with SQL and Python scripting.
- Project or professional experience using scripting languages in reporting software.
- Proficiency with enterprise reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Location & details#
- Locations: Newark and Columbus, Ohio.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week).
- Physical requirements: You must be able to remain in a stationary position for at least 75% of the time, operate a computer, and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
- Transportation: You must have reliable transportation to the Newark headquarters to meet the on-site requirement.
