    About the role#

    The Product Development Engineering Co-Op supports the engineering department and product management group. You will help with new product development, revisions to existing products, and equipment testing. This role involves working with production staff on the manufacturing floor to review project specifications and product adjustments. You will gain exposure to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as the full product development lifecycle from initial specification to production launch. This is a rolling co-operative learning experience that alternates work semesters with school.

    What you'll do#

    • Design components and assemblies.
    • Create detailed drawings for production.
    • Manage bills of materials in the MRP system.
    • Complete engineering change notices.
    • Support the engineering and product management teams during equipment testing.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related degree program.
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments from engineers.
    • Basic competency with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NX.
    • Basic skills in the MS Office suite.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Interest in hands-on work within a manufacturing environment.
