About the role#
This co-op position provides a hands-on learning experience in the machinery manufacturing industry. You will work with the engineering and product management teams to support new product development, equipment testing, and revisions to existing products. You will gain exposure to the interaction between mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across the full product lifecycle from initial design to production launch.
What you'll do#
- Design components and assemblies.
- Create detailed technical drawings.
- Organize bills of materials in the MRP system.
- Complete engineering change notices.
- Work directly with production personnel on the manufacturing floor to discuss project specifications and necessary product adjustments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related degree program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments from engineers at once.
- Interest in working directly in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic skills in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NX.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Prior experience with SolidWorks and SyteLine is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Lebanon, Ohio.
- The position follows a rolling co-op schedule, alternating semesters of work with school.
- Physical requirements include the ability to traverse the production facility, lift up to 35 lbs, and work around moving vehicles while wearing safety glasses.
