About the role#
This 10-week summer internship provides a hands-on overview of the industrial construction management process. You will rotate through Pre-Construction, Production, and Field Operations to gain exposure to the full project lifecycle. The program includes professional development training and bi-weekly mentorship meetings.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through Pre-Construction, Production, and Field Operations.
- Review drawings and perform conceptual estimating.
- Conduct subcontractor scope reviews and clarifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed breakdowns.
- Assist with bidding, buyout, and subcontractor selection.
- Gain exposure to permitting and project documentation.
- Participate in project closeout processes.
- Attend pre-construction meetings with trades.
- Apply jobsite safety practices, including inspections and audits.
- Participate in daily site walks and subcontractor meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong collaboration, time management, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Solid mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- A positive attitude and willingness to seek growth opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with CMiC, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project is helpful.
- Prior construction management internship experience is a plus.
