About the role#
ExxonMobil is seeking PhD students for paid, full-time internship opportunities during the Summer 2026 term. These roles are on-site and provide an opportunity to work on impactful projects while engaging with senior leaders and experienced professionals across the organization.
What you'll do#
You will work within world-class teams to gain hands-on experience and develop professional skills. Responsibilities include:
- Contributing to projects in areas such as Mechanical Integrity, Process Engineering, Process Control, Product Development, and Safety.
- Touring company facilities to gain insight into operations.
- Engaging with a wide range of professionals and fellow students.
- Attending social events to connect with peers and senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program or recent graduation with a Doctorate degree.
- A degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Data Science, Petroleum Engineering, or Geosciences.
- Strong academic performance, leadership, and communication skills.
- Note: Candidates pursuing a PhD in a non-technical field are not eligible for this role.
