About the role#
The Design Engineering Internship at Everest is a 10-week summer program running from May 31, 2027, to August 6, 2027. This role offers exposure to the insurance and reinsurance industry through hands-on business experience and professional development. You will work with the Business Architecture Solution Design team to improve processes and customer experiences.
What you'll do#
- Partner with team leaders, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into requirements.
- Analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks and design more efficient processes.
- Support the Design Engineering team in reimaging the customer journey.
- Develop solutions that enhance both customer and employee experiences.
- Collaborate on projects with fellow interns.
- Participate in professional development workshops and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Current standing as a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.
- Strong critical thinking, pattern recognition, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Warren, New Jersey.
- Modality: Hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
- Compensation: $900 to $1,000 per week.
