    About the role#

    Everence Financial is looking for an Accounting Intern to join our team in Lancaster. This is a full-time, paid position where you will gain hands-on experience in credit union accounting practices while working on projects that support our members.

    What you'll do#

    • Lead a review of current accounting procedures and document them.
    • Identify ways to improve efficiency and propose new controls.
    • Help implement process changes and update documentation.
    • Assist with general ledger entries and reconciliations.
    • Research accounting issues as assigned by your supervisor.
    • Keep accurate records that meet regulatory and internal standards.
    • Communicate with other departments to gather data and solve inquiries.
    • Attend meetings and training to learn about credit union operations.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and with a team.
    • Prior experience in accounting or finance is helpful but not required.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based on-site in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
    • The position is full-time for 10 to 12 weeks.
    • We do not offer sponsorship for this role.
