About the role#
ESI, Inc. is hiring a Project Intern to support our project management teams in Lima, Ohio. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role that offers 401K benefits. We are looking for students who want to gain experience in electrical construction, including system design, cost estimating, scheduling, and quality management.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team, including the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent, with daily construction tasks.
- Prepare essential project documentation such as submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and bid proposals.
- Create and maintain project matrices in Microsoft Excel to track RFIs, drawings, and change orders.
- Produce installation drawings for electrical components.
- Coordinate project documents and distribute them to architects, trade contractors, and vendors.
- Interface with various project stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
What you'll need#
- At least two years of study toward a B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good organizational and planning abilities.
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record, as this position requires driving.
- Ability to pass a background check, credit check, and drug screen.
- Current work authorization, as we do not provide sponsorship.
