Supply Chain-Summer Intern

About the role#

ESCO Maritime Solutions is seeking a Summer 2026 intern to join our defense and space manufacturing team. This full-time, on-site position provides hands-on experience in procurement, inventory management, and the end-to-end supply chain life cycle. You will contribute to real-world operations by supporting supplier relations, material delivery, and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Manage procurement activities from the initial intent to purchase through final delivery.
• Oversee supplier metrics, approvals, and risk assessments for an assigned group of suppliers.
• Issue RFQs, POs, and IDWAs in compliance with company and government regulations.
• Ensure materials are delivered on schedule, at negotiated prices, and meet quality and inventory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and supplier data.
• Analyze inventory levels and demand forecasts to identify cost savings and process improvements.
• Track key performance indicators and prepare reports for management review.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work both independently and within a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a US Person or a non-US Person eligible to obtain required Export Authorization.
• Previous internship or work experience in manufacturing or supply chain management is a plus.
