About the role#
Ericsson is looking for a Strategy Analyst Intern to join the North American Strategy & Technology organization in Plano, Texas. This 12-week summer internship focuses on analyzing markets, competitors, customers, and emerging technology trends. You will work alongside strategy, sales, and technical teams to turn complex data into actionable recommendations that support business growth.
What you'll do#
- Analyze market, customer, competitor, and business-performance data to identify risks and opportunities.
- Research emerging solutions, industry players, and specific customer needs.
- Build Excel models, scenario analyses, benchmarks, and charts for business planning and investment cases.
- Contribute to market intelligence deliverables, such as competitor assessments and market sizing.
- Structure complex business problems, formulate hypotheses, and synthesize findings into clear conclusions.
- Develop concise presentations and written materials for stakeholders.
- Create reusable templates, dashboards, and research assets to improve team workflows.
- Participate in workshops, interviews, and working-team meetings.
- Use approved AI and analytics tools responsibly to support research and project execution.
- Build professional skills in structured problem solving, data visualization, and executive communication.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate, master’s, or PhD student at an accredited university.
- A strong academic record with a minimum 2.7 GPA.
- Pursuing a degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or data science.
- Highly analytical mindset with a genuine curiosity about technology and business models.
- Strong quantitative skills and comfort working with data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to break down unfamiliar problems and develop fact-based recommendations.
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, proactive working style with the ability to build relationships across functions.
- Interest in telecommunications, wireless networks, AI, cloud, and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
- Demonstrated personal drive and a record of pursuing ambitious goals.
