About the role#
Ashby Ponds is seeking Student Servers to join our restaurant team. This position offers flexible scheduling designed to accommodate high school sports and extracurricular activities. We provide on-the-job training, so no prior experience is required. This role is a paid, on-site opportunity with potential for scholarship support for those who qualify.
What you'll do#
- Serve meals to residents and guests in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Greet guests, explain daily menus and specials, and provide recommendations.
- Record and input food and beverage orders into the POS system.
- Deliver food promptly and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Perform various dining room duties, including serving, bussing, running food, meal plating, catering, and utility tasks.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current high school student and at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, carry trays, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Availability for three shifts per week, including both weekdays and weekends.
Location & details#
- Location: Ashburn, Virginia.
- Shift timing: Typically 4:45 pm to 8:45 pm.
- Compensation: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour, based on experience.
