About the role#
As a Student Server, you will work in the restaurants at Ashby Ponds to provide quality dining experiences for our residents and guests. This role offers flexible scheduling designed to accommodate high school sports and other extracurricular activities. We provide training for all new hires, so no prior experience is required.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests warmly and describe the daily menu and specials.
- Record and input beverage and food orders into the POS system.
- Deliver food promptly and ensure guest satisfaction with their meal choices.
- Perform various dining room duties, including serving, bussing, running food, meal plating, catering, and utility tasks.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current high school student and at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to stand for long periods, carry trays, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Ashburn, Virginia.
- Schedule: Three shifts per week required, with weekday and weekend availability. Shifts typically run from 4:45 pm to 8:45 pm.
- Compensation: $13.00 to $14.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
